TShirt Studio has grown from a small start up to an online firm specialising in personalised products serving an international customer base.
The company was founded in 2002 by Dave Liddle and Howard West. The emphasis has always been fulfilling orders meticulously to the highest quality standards. T-Shirts and hoodies are the stock in trade for garments alongside babywear. The shopper is guided through the easy to use ordering process. Buyers upload their own photos and have access to a wide range of bespoke designs as well as an array of fonts.
From the outset, the goal has been to improve printing processes. Now the consistently high 5 star ratings from customer feedback is testament to the company’s success in achieving excellence in the t shirt printing and gifting market. It’s a truly British manufacturing business using cutting edge digital printing equipment
In 2006 TShirt Studio launched their embroidery service which is hugely popular for sports and workwear. The firm is able to fulfil orders of any size and discounts are an incentive for bulk orders. The range of garments is constantly expanding alongside the firm’s personalised gift offering.
Their strategy of simplicity and clarity has paid off in driving sales from mobile devices. Drawing inspiration from Apple’s success in accessibility, the company has developed an uncomplicated user friendly strategy that applies equally as well on small smartphones as large computers. The Directors say this represents a remarkable shift into shopping on the hoof and they put it down to the buying habits of their target demographic of 18-35s in the UK. The Development team realised that this fundamental change in buying habits was another key element in growing the business.
Both TShirt Studio’s founders are from technical backgrounds. Wherever possible new ways are developed to ensure the ordering system is as simple and effective as possible. Part of the development process was adding in the 3D preview facility. As customers upload photos or lettering on to the preview section of the site so the image of the garment or gift becomes lifelike. Feedback for this facility is positive as it gives the customer an accurate view of how their print looks like on the product.
Some designs sell especially well. Adding your own words to the “Keep Calm and Carry On” slogan or the “I Heart” image are best sellers, as are the many typeface options including the signature “Baseball” retro writing addition.
Both Dave Liddle and Howard West were involved in retail on mobile phones with the development of a WAP CD shop in conjunction with Ericsson and IBM in 1999. They find it satisfying to see mobile technology finally delivering a shopping experience that the general public are literally buying into.
Custom mugs, cushions and clocks are amongst many sought after gifts. Beautiful personalised olive boards, wooden coasters, glass coasters and a perfect custom present for Dad’s - the engraved pint glass.
Our internet site encourages creativity as people can personalize their own garment or gift thereby stamping their own design on a particular product. No matter how small or large the order, the firm delivers quickly and competently. Repeat orders are a big factor and testament to the fact that shoppers like what they buy and come back for more.
